ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT

 

The General Secretariat directs all the administrative and financial aspects of the Union's activities, including the implementation of the provisions of the administrative regulations on operational questions, the dissemination of information on telecommunication matters for operational and other purposes, the provision of legal advice to the Bureaux of the Union and the departments of the General Secretariat, logistic support to the Union's activities including conferences, the coordination of the work of the Union with other international organizations, the dissemination of information to the Member States and Sector Members, press, corporate and individual users of telecommunications and the general public. The General Secretariat is also responsible for the organization of world telecommunication exhibitions and forums.

 

Within the General Secretariat, the Information Services Department (IS) is the focal point for the ITU information technology services, managing ERP, CRM, documents, information systems and infrastructure, service-desk, library, archives and information management services, safety and security (both physical and logical), to support staff both at Headquarters and in the Field, as well as delegates attending conferences, meetings and events world-wide.  It also promotes ICT collaboration, partnerships and information-sharing and represents ITU in inter-organization meetings and committees related to information technology and security management.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

ITU is looking for a consultant to provide expert functional and technical services for the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP ECC modules, specifically SD, FICO, SRM, and SAP Commerce Cloud (CC). As part of the SAP Logistics Applications team, under the direction of the Head SAP Logistics Applications Service, the SAP ERP Business Analyst Consultant will carry out the following activities:

 

Business Analysis:  

  • Gather and document detailed business requirements.
  • Draft and maintain system or functional specifications, user documentation, and training materials.

 

Solution Design: 

  • Provide functional and technical advice on solution design.
  • Leverage standard SAP functionality to optimize solutions.

 

Configuration: 

  • Perform configuration tasks as needed to deliver solutions.

 

Testing: 

  • Participate in unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.

 

Support: 

  • Provide ongoing user support, troubleshooting, and bug fixing for live systems.

 

Troubleshooting: 

  • Resolve SAP system problems and escalate them to next level of support if required.

CONCRETE DELIVERABLES

  • Ongoing user support and maintenance of SAP ERP modules (SD, FICO, SRM, CC).
  • Detailed system or functional specifications for enhancements.
  • Updated user documentation and training materials.
  • Configured SAP ERP modules (SD, FICO, SRM, CC).
  • Successful completion of unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.

COMPETENCIES

  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP technologies and hands-on skills in business applications like SAP FI/CO, FM, GM, SD, MM, FI-TV, SRM, EPPM, SAP CC, SAP Customer Data Cloud (CDC), BW and other components such as SAP Gateway, BTP.
  • Project management capabilities following SAP implementation methodologies and best practices.
  • Ability to solve technical issues within cross-organizational boundaries.
  • Strong business analysis skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. 
  • Technical proficiency in SAP configuration, testing, and troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Knowledge of new SAP Technologies like S/4HANA, BTP, Integration Suite etc. and knowledge of ABAP, BADIs, User Exit etc. is desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

 

Education:

University degree in business administration, Commerce, Computer Science or a related field OR education in a reputed college of advanced education with a diploma of equivalent standard to that of a university degree in one of the fields above.

Experience:

At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of the post. An advance degree in a related field can be considered as a substitute for one year of working experience. A doctorate in related fields can be considered as a substitute for two years of working experience.  Proven experience as an SAP ERP Consultant with a strong understanding of SD, FI/CO, SRM, and SAP CC.  

Languages:

Knowledge of English at advanced level. Knowledge of another official UN languages would be an advantage.

REMUNERATION INFORMATION

Monthly Fee – Remuneration Basis from USD 185 to USD 250 per working day according to the number of years of experience.
