ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT
The Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB) fulfills the objectives of the Union relating to telecommunication standardization, by providing secretariat support to groups studying technical, operating and tariff questions and facilitating the adoption of Recommendations in these areas with a view to standardizing telecommunications and information technology on a global basis. In order to achieve these objectives, the Telecommunication Standardization Bureau works in accordance with the instructions of the World Telecommunication Standardization Assemblies (WTSA), Telecommunication Standardization Study Groups and the Telecommunication Standardization Advisory Group. TSB, headed by an elected Director, provides the technical, administrative and logistic support for the assemblies and for the meetings of the groups mentioned.
Within the Telecommunication Standardization Bureau (TSB), the Strategic Engagement Department (SED) is responsible with leading the Bureau's community engagement, marketing, and communications efforts, including pioneering “emerging technologies” initiatives like the annual AI for Good Global Summit, and utilizing innovative tactics for membership recruitment and business development to establish ITU-T as an agile, forward-looking, and innovative standardization platform. The Department is also responsible for the Bureau's, academic initiatives and the ITU Journal, a periodical dedicated to research topics in telecommunication and ICT.

AI for Good, an initiative of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), is at the forefront of leveraging artificial
intelligence to address global challenges, from climate action to health and education. By bringing together leading
innovators, policymakers, and researchers, AI for Good aims to utilize AI to achieve the United Nations' Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs).
Summary of Role:
We are seeking a talented and creative Digital Marketing and Graphic Intern to join our dynamic team. This is an
exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an international environment, contributing to the creation and
development of visual designs that enhance the impact of AI for Good’s initiatives. The role will focus on designing
visuals for the AI for Good All Year Always Online Programme, the AI for Good Global Summit, and other projects that
require high-quality graphic design support.
Responsibilities:
The Digital Marketing and Graphic Intern will assist the AI for Good team with a variety of design and media-related
activities, including:
- Visual Content Creation: Assist in designing visually engaging materials that support AI for Good initiatives, including speaker cards, slides, infographics, and session graphics. Develop creative visuals for the AI for Good All Year Always Online Programme, ensuring consistent alignment with branding guidelines. Contribute to the creation of graphics and visual assets for key projects and events, such as the Global Summit and other specialized campaigns and support in promoting AI for Good events.
- Graphic Design Development: Assist in designing promotional materials, including banners, digital brochures, and social media graphics. Support the development of templates and visual branding elements for AI for Good sessions and live streams.
- Event-Specific Designs: Collaborate with the team to create designs for key events, including speaker visuals, agenda slides, and custom graphics tailored to specific projects.
- Administrative and Logistical Support: Assist in maintaining a design asset library and ensuring the organization and accessibility of design files. Support content and design scheduling as part of communication planning activities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED
Education required:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Media Arts, or a related field.
Experience:
No work experience required.
Language required:
English at advanced level.
Working knowledge of another UN language, with excellent knowledge of written and spoken French would be an asset.
Competencies required:
- Passion for visual storytelling and digital design, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools, particularly Adobe Illustrator and Canva; a demonstrated portfolio of work is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple design projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative problem solver with a proactive approach, eager to innovate and contribute fresh design ideas.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, multicultural, and international setting, with excellent communication skills.
